A: Bulk tanks come in a range of sizes, typically from 600kg to 2,000kg capacity. When we visit your home or property we’ll recommend the best size for your needs.

A: JGas have a number of re-ordering options and a member of our Customer Services team will discuss with you the most suitable option when you join us. These options are Automatic Top-up, Top-Up, By Request and Telemetry.

• Automatic Top-Up: By relating tank size to expected usage, we will schedule deliveries throughout the year to meet your requirements.
• By Request: You are responsible for monitoring the level of gas in your tank. You can do this simply by viewing the gauge on the top of the tank and re-ordering when the gas falls to the agreed re-order level. You then contact our Customer Services team and place your order.
• Telemetry: This is a device which is fixed to your tank and monitors the gas level. When the gas reaches the re-order level the device triggers a gas delivery. Charges may apply.

A: If you run out of gas:

1. Turn off the emergency stop valve on the side of the building
2. Make sure all appliances are turned off
3. Call our Customer Services Team to advise that you have run out.
4. After delivery, the Under Pressure Shut Off valve (where fitted) should be reset
5. Follow your appliance re-lighting procedures

A: Make sure the route from the road to your tank is free from obstruction and the area around your tank is clear of hazards.

A: Bulk deliveries can be made even when you’re out, so you don’t have to stay at home waiting for your delivery, providing that our driver can get safe access to the tank. A delivery ticket will be left to show how many litres have been delivered.

A: Very little. As part of our commitment and service agreement, we manage maintenance on behalf of all of our bulk customers. All we ask is that you keep your tank free from flammable materials, debris and foliage. It is vital that you do not paint your tank or obscure any signs or labels. Our drivers carry out a visual inspection of customers’ tanks at each delivery and take immediate action to address any maintenance requirements or issues. However, we strongly recommend you carry out regular checks on your Liquid Gas appliances.

A: As part of our service, JGas will repair any faults with your tank. Any faults or concerns should be reported to JGas immediately.

A: Should a gas leak occur, it is likely that it will be noticed first by the smell.

1. Turn off the supply at the emergency and main stop valves
2. Extinguish all naked lights and sources of ignition
3. Open door and windows (beware that Liquid Gas is heavier than air and will collect at the lowest levels)
4. Do not switch electrical appliances / mobile phones on or off
5. Call the JGas emergency line on 07739 882001

A: In the event of a fire, you should:

1. Raise the alarm and activate any fire alarms
2. Call the Fire Brigade informing them of the incident and that Liquid Gas (LPG) may be involved
3. Evacuate everyone from the area
4. Turn off gas supply at Tank if safe to do so
5. Do not attempt to extinguish the fire unless it is safe to do so
